Livraria Lello-boghandlen, også kendt som Livraria Lello & Irmão ou Livraria Chardron, er en boghandel beliggende i den nordlige portugisiske kommune Porto. Sammen med Bertrand i Lissabon er det en af de ældste boghandlere i Portugal og vurderes ofte blandt de bedste boghandlere i verden. Oprindelsen bag Livraria Lello-boghandlen fører os tilbage til 1881, da brødrene José og António Lello åbnede en virksomhed i Porto dedikeret til handel med og udgivelse af bøger. José Lello drømte om at blive en boghandler, og det gik i opfyldelse i 1881. Flere år senere gik hans bror António Lello også ind i denne boghandlervirksomheden. I 1894 købte José Lello Chardron-boghandlen med alle dens eksklusive arkiver. Chardron-boghandlen havde allerede slået sit navn fast i hænderne franske Ernesto Chardron efter at have udgivet de første udgaver af ikoniske værker såsom dem af Eça de Queirós eller Camilo Castelo Branco. Den 13. januar 1906 for indviede Livraria Lello bygningen, som vi kender den i dag, skabt efter den storslåede vision fra ingeniør Francisco Xavier Esteves.

“Our driver/ guide was a young man, born and raised in Vila Nova de Gaia, and familiar with the history and typical spots of Porto. He told anecdotes with a mix of humor and irony. Romantic spot was a park, overseeing the river Douro towards the Atlantic Ocean, with a ruby port. Well hit and funny.”
