Ting at foretage sig på Cube Houses
De ikoniske kubehuse (Kubuswoningen) i Rotterdam er en del af et boligkompleks designet for mere end 30 år siden i et unikt arkitektonisk projekt. Udtænkt af den hollandske arkitekt Piet Blom er bygningerne kendetegnet med en form af kuber, der er tiltet 45 grader.
Beliggende i Blaak-kvarteret nær Rotterdams gamle havn er et af de mest slående træk ved kubehusene den gule farve på facaderne. Hvert hjem består af tre etager: køkken på første sal, soveværelser på anden sal, og på den sidste etage kan du slappe af i ”afslapningsrummet”, som byder på udsigt over den gamle havn og byen.
Besøg museet Kijk-Kubus, dedikeret til projektet, hvor besøgende kan udforske det indre af et fuldt møbleret hjem og opleve, hvad det vil sige at leve i en kube.
