Ting at foretage sig på Prater i Wien
Prater, beliggende i hjertet af byen, er Wiens største offentlige park og er også hjem for en af de ældste forlystelsesparker i verden. Populære blandt både lokale og turister er parken et sted for både sjov og afslapning.
Tidligere brugt som jagtområde blev parken åbnet for offentlig nydelse i 1766 med etablering af kaffehuse og caféer. Nu med omkring 250 attraktioner og med over 60 restauranter og caféer er Prater en glimrende måde at tilbringe en dag på og undslippe byen.
Besøg forlystelsesparken Wurstelprater og prøv nogle af de spændende forlystelser og attraktioner, go-kart, rutsjebaner, spøgelsetog og karruseller. Her vil du også finde det berømte pariserhjul, en af de mest populære attraktioner i Wien. Et must for alle, der besøger parken for første gang, er en tur i pariserhjuler med en vidunderlig udsigt over parken og byen.
Lige ved siden af forlystelsesparken finder du en smuk grøn plads, der er kendt som den grønne Prater, med har smukke alléer, en skov og eng. Gå en tur i det store grønne område, nyd en picnic, tag på en cykeltur eller kør med Lilliputbahn Wien, et miniaturetog, der kører gennem parken.
Spis et måltid i en af de parkens mange restauranter og prøv nogle traditionelle wiener-retter eller besøg det velkendte voksmuseum, Madame Tussauds. Parken har også et chokolademuseum, et diskotek, et planetarium, legepladser og meget mere!
Prater er godt forbundet med offentlig transport. Praterstern-stationen er ved indgangen til parken og betjenes af metro, jernbane, bus og sporvogne.

“Måske knap så meget operasang”
“It would have been helpful to make the experience more relevant to TUI, for instance being informed that the pick up point for the bus a was 3 min walk from the boat NOT the city centre wasting a lot of time, Queuing and boarding was very disorganised, both in the city centre for the main bus and the road train tour of the palace grounds. The bus itself was clean and the tour commentary was clear and informative, but overall a lot of room for improvement of the experience.”
“The bus had no air conditioning. The audio was playing music most of the time rather than pointing out the landmarks There is little of interest outside of the old town so it would be cheaper to take a metro into the town and nack”
